Through indpendent research, you will become an expert on a colony. We will find the differences and similiarities of the Middle, Southern and New England Colonies. For each region, we will uncover the facts that made that colony unique. You will discover the challenges the colonists faced, differences and similarities with other colonies, religious factors, and slavery views.
Task
Your task is to identify and make discoveries about the 13 original colonies. You will reasearch to find this information. Your report will include:
- Identification of the originial 13 Colonies
- Founders of each colony and the year it was founded
- The major economic activities (How did colonists make their living?)
- Geographical characteristics and climate of each colony
- Role religion played in the regions development
- Attitude toward slavery
- The daily life in the region (How did they live, work, and socialize?)
