Introduction
The use of dictionaries is increasingly in decline, because new technologies and with them, the arrival of the internet is causing people to no longer look for words. In spite of that, there are some words that, due to the social context in which they are used, are very difficult to find. These words are often called slang words.
For this reason, students are asked to create their own slang words dictionary.
Task
Students have to make a dictionary composed of slang words. For that, they should look for 10 words of each letter that makes up the dictionary. Also, in case American English uses another word they will also offer it.
Process
First, students should know the meaning of slang word.
Then, they should make a selection of the words they will offer with each letter that makes up the dictionary (10 words per letter).
Third, make a selection of the definition of each word.
Finally, they must write each definition by themselves. In the case that the word has a different way in American English, they should also offer it.
Evaluation
During this activity, students will be evaluated in phases, because each day they will have an assessment based on their work.
