Today, you will be researching an image to find out more about the time period that it was created during. Be sure to follow directions and ask for help if needed.
Task
Students will be able to examine a historical artifact in order to gain further knowledge of the time period and the artist.
Process
- Answer the questions in your packet on page one.
- Type the title of the artwork into the google search then choose the first link to begin your research. Begin filling out page two of the packet.
- After you have gained as much knowledge as is possible from the link, search the artist's name, Charles Wilson Peale, to find further information. Continue filling out page two of the packet.
- When you begin to have questions about what the subjects in the painting are wearing create a google search for the time period of the piece.
Evaluation
You will be scored on your packet based on the details of your answers and the completeness of your work.
