Security in Santiago streets

Introduction

In this WebQuest, you will develop a proposal on how to improve street security in Santiago, a topic that has become one of the main concerns in the upcoming presidential elections. Many citizens report feeling unsafe due to situations such as robberies, poor lighting, crowded public spaces, and insecure transport routes. Because of this, candidates are expected to present concrete and realistic plans that respond to these daily experiences. One of you will take on the role of a presidential candidate, and the other will be the campaign advisor. Together, you will analyze the current context, review past proposals in Chile, and examine how other countries have addressed similar challenges. Your final goal is to develop a feasible action plan and present it to your classmates, convincing them that your proposal is the most effective and realistic for improving safety in Santiago’s streets.
