Habitat Heroes Needed!
Four animals are lost and they need help finding their way back home!
Join the Habitat Heroes and help them find the missing animals!
You will need to learn all about animal habitats to help each animal find its way back home.
Each group will be given an animal to find and rescue as a team!
Task
Your group will be given a lost animal to help find and bring them back to their right habitat!
- You will work together to compile facts about your animal and its habitat.
- You will also make a poster about your animal and its habitat to put on display.
- You will share information gathered on your teams animal with the other Habitat Hero teams.
Process
Step 1: What are habitats?
If you are going to be the best Habitat Hero, you must know everything you can about habitats! Each group member must record something about the group's animal. Record your habitat info in your science notebook.
Step 2: Tell me everything about your animal.
To know which habitat to put your animal in, you must also know everything about your animal! Write down facts about your animal in your science notebook.

Step Three: Research your animals habitat.
In order to bring your animal back to it's home, you must know where to put them! Click on each habitat for websites to help you decide which habitat is right for your animal.

Step Four: Prepare your poster about your animal and its habitat.
Evaluation
You will be graded on the following:
- atleast 10 detailed facts about your assigned animal (30 points)
- detailed list of characteristics of each of the 4 habitats (20 points)
- correct placement of your animal to its habitat (35 points)
- appearance of poster presentation including facts about your animal and its habitat (15 points)
