Introduction
You will be completing a webquest about bats. You must collect information about bats while learning important technology skills.
You will learn:

- how to blog appropriately
Task
You will be conducting scientific research about bats. You have been sent on a mission deep into the dark wilderness to debunk the myth that bats are vicious creatures that aim to attach vulnerable humans.
Process
By clicking on the links below you will gather information all about bats. You will use this information to create an information brochure to share with others about the importance of bats to our environment. You will create the brochure using Microsoft Publisher.

Evaluation
Your brochure must include the following items:
- A title (5 pts.)
- Your name (5 pts.)
- A paragraph about their habitat (10 pts.)
- A list of 10-12 facts about bats (20 pts.)
- 2 images of bats (20 pts.)
- 1 url of a bat video (20 pts.)
- A paragraph about your thoughts about bats in our world and why you have this opinion (10 pts.)
- 1 fun feature-joke, funny picture of bats, trivia question, etc. (10 pts.)
Everything in your brochure must be in complete sentence form with correct capitalization and punctuation. Your list of facts will be the only portion that is not in sentence form, but it must be bulleted.
Save your work on your flash drive. If you don't save it, Mrs. C. can't grade it.
Conclusion
Once your brochure has been printed, you will share your brochure with a small group. Once you all have shared in your group, we will discuss what we leared as a result of this activity using Today's Meet.

How to save to a flash drive:
1. Insert your USB flash drive into the computer
2. The computer will recognize the new hardware
3. Click on "File"
4. Click on "Save As"
5. Locate your device in the menu bar on the left side of the window
6. Click on your device
7. Name your document
8. Click on "Save"
9. Eject your device
10. Remove your flash drive
How to create a brochure in Microsoft Publisher:
1. Click on the window icon
2. Click on Microsoft Office
3. Click on Publisher
4. Choose Brochure
5. Choose Business Trifold Brochure Civic
6. Then begin to enter your information into the areas on the template
