Task

To ensure successful outcomes for learners, Educational Assistants need to have a professional and positive relationship with the teacher as well as the principal. It is important for the principal and/or teacher to directly communicate to the EA on what is required of them in each position. It is also important for the EA to keep open communication with teachers and principals on a regular basis on any problems that arise so that they can make any changes necessary to improve the learning environment for the students.

Process

The principals have a critical role as the school leaders and should have good leadership skills, and decision making processes. They create teams for collaboration to promote inclusive school cultures. They should be able to have effective problem solving techniques and good communication skills. They should have the required management skills and provide effective disciplinary measures.
