Lesson 1 "I want this, but I need that!"
Every person in this world has different wants and needs. But what are the differences? NEEDS are things we must have in order to survive, such as food, water, and shelter. WANTS are things that you don't need, but would like to have. One example is that we need food to keep our bodies strong and healthy, but we want ice cream for dessert.
Today, you and your partner will go on an virtual grocery shopping adventure! You will have a spending total of $150. You are allowed to spend $100 on items that you need, and $50 on things that you want. Below are some websites you can check out. If there's a store that's not listed that you would like to include, feel free to search online to see if your favorite grocery store has an online website with the prices of their items (Palama Supermarket, Times Supermarket, etc).
Using the outline below, keep track of a list of your needs and wants as you are exploring the different items you want to buy. Remember your spending total ($100 for needs, $50 for wants). Happy shopping!
