How do plants grow?

Introduction

We need food to survive. The food chain starts with a producer, usually a green plant, which produces its own food to stay alive. It then becomes food for other animals, and those animals become foods for other animals and so on. Plants are very important, so how do they grow and how do we keep them alive?

Meet Beany! You're going to help her make friends!

Task

Beany is a bean plant, and she needs friends! Your task is to grow a bean plant friend for Beany! You will need to research where her friends can live, and how you can look after them to make sure they grow big and strong!

Process

1. Head outside - where can plants be found around our school?

2. Describe the envrionment you found those plants in.

3. Research - What does your bean plant need to survive?
