Rockstar:The Life of Mr. Judge

Introduction

I was born in New York, on Long Island to be more specific. My Dad was a carpenter/electrician and worked a lot. My mother stayed home to take care of the children. I had four brothers and one sister; I was the baby of the family.  We had a dog named Ranger, who was a boxer/German Sheppard mix. He got hit by a car when I was about 8 or 9. His eye was damaged and the vet was considering putting him to sleep, but my dad didn't go for that because he knew how much I loved the dog. So, he ended up with only one eye.

Unfortunately, my Dad passed away when I was 12. He had leukemia, which is a kind of blood cancer. It was really tough on my Mom and me especially.

Music has always been the biggest part of my life. I learned to play guitar at the age of 12 and performed with tons of people as a kid. There were always musicians coming and going from my house, hauling in drum sets and amplifiers.

I went to community college for two years and paid for it myself(I couldn't afford anything else). After that I went to a University in New York for an English degree and a teaching certificate. Later, I got my Master's Degree at a college in Florida.

Now, I'm married and have a one and a half year old daughter named Stevie. I own a recording studio that I designed and built and I produce people's music.

Task

I Chose this picture because I'm  really into old creepy abandoned places.  I think it would be amazing to walk through a place like this. Thinking about who lived here, or even more chilling, who died here. I'm definitely into the paranormal, ghosts and all that. I find it fascinating.

This is a park that I take short hikes in pretty frequently. It is only about 5 minutes from my house.

I love Mexican food and this place is right down the road from me. It's not the best Mexican food I've ever had, but it's still a nice treat every once in a while.

Evaluation

My highest category was musical which is obvious. I play multiple instruments and perform and record music regularly. Recently, I produced two songs for a female artist who was in the United States visiting from  Italy.  I'm currently working on a few metal songs for a band from New York.

Conclusion

I have  few goals or dreams. One is to see my daughter grow up healthy and happy. I want her to find a career or job that she loves and be really good at it. I also hope that she dedicates part of her life to helping other people.

My goals at school are for students to walk away understanding that education comes in many forms, and working hard and being kind are the two of the most important things you need to be a happy and successful person.

I dream of touring the world with a rock band, but I could never leave my daughter for that long.

My hero is my dad. He was only in my life for a short while, but he was a great man. He worked so hard and sacrificed to put food on the table for his family. He was kind to people around him. I remember one time we had a blizzard and some people in the neighborhood couldn't get to the grocery store. He bought extra items and went around pulling a sled, delivering food to some of the older neighbors.

I also remember being very sick as a kid with a high fever. He and my mom took turns sitting by my bed all night and didn't leave my side. I remember him sitting there at like 4 a.m. even though he had to get up and go to work at 9.

He is definitely my hero.

Teacher Page

My teachers in middle and high school would probably not remember me too much. I wasn't a very motivated kid and didn't care much about school. I was polite and respectful, but my mind was on other things. If I could go back, I would definitely apply myself more and show the teachers that I was a smart guy. Sadly, I think most of them thought I wouldn't amount to much, but that's my fault. I didn't give them any reason to think any differently.

My college teachers would feel very differently I'm happy to say. I changed for the positive a lot after high school, especially after working in the labor field (house painter).  I decided that I wanted to make a difference so I became very interested in my Education classes. I used my unique strengths to do better in class. For example, instead of doing a biography on a famous person, I asked the teacher if I could write a short story about the person instead, and use all the facts I learned about them in my story.

For one of my projects in college for my teaching certificate, I wrote and recorded a collection of songs about education.

I think my teachers appreciated the artistic approach to learning.

So, my high school teachers saw a different person. I guess I just had to grow up a bit.
