Introduction

Have you ever walked on a trail and seen all kinds of rocks. It's a lot of fun to look at them closely and wonder, "what kind of rock is this? How did it form?" 

In this webquest, you will watch some fun videos which explain that there are only three types of rocks and how they are formed.

Identifying Rocks

  • Go to your Google Drive account.

  • Create a slide show presentation. Your presentation should have:

                  - Title page

                  - Subtopic pages of each type of rock explaining how they form

                  - 5 example captions of different kids of rocks of the same type

                  - Websites used

  • Practice your presentation to present in front of class.

Evaluation

Give your presentation in class.

Conclusion

After doing this webquest, you should know the three types of rocks and how they are formed.
