Robotics and Virtual reality/augmented reality

Introduction

Robotics

Essentially, a robot is a mechanical device that can be programmed to follow a set of instructions.

The robot has a processing unit, sensors to perceive its environment, and motors and actuators to move its limbs or wheels. It may speak, make other sounds, or flash with lights and colours in response to the environment as per instructions.

Robots need the ability to follow programmed instructions and not just be controlled remotely.

Virtual reality

Virtual reality is a kind of digital reality–a way of using technology to create environments designed for expressly human interaction. This is, of course, different than our physical environment.

Augmented reality

Augmented reality is the technology that expands our physical world, adding layers of digital information onto it. Unlike Virtual Reality (VR), AR does not create the whole artificial environments to replace real with virtual one. AR appears in direct view of an existing environment and adds sounds, videos, graphics to it.

Effectiveness

Infographic includes all material needed to gain a comfortable understanding of the topic. It is a highly effective study guide.

Infographic includes most material needed to gain a comfortable understanding of the material but is lacking one or two key elements. It is an adequate study guide.

Infographic is missing more than two key elements. It would make an incomplete study guide.

Infographic is lacking several key elements and has inaccuracies that make it a poor study guide.

Use of Graphics

All graphics are attractive (size and colors) and support the theme/content of the presentation.
