Concentration Camps in the Holocaust

Introduction

The Holocaust which meant "death by fire" had much more than a horrific meaning behind the name. The Holocaust was responsible for the mass murder of around 6 million European Jews in addition to gypsies, homosexuals, and anything different from the "Aryan" race. Adolf Hitler believed that all Jews were inferior people and a total threat to Germany's pure race and country. After Hitler was appointed chancellor in 1933, complete Nazi dictatorship was soon to approach. The "Final Solution" was the fate of every Jew or anyone who apposed Nazi beliefs which consisted of gassings, shootings, random acts of terror, disease, and starvation that accounted for the deaths of about six million Jews leaving two-thirds of European Jews to be extinct. Concentration camps were created to complete Hitler's wish to imprision, and kill all the innocent lives of Jewish people.
