Research on cells

Introduction

Researchers have been doing research on human cells for a long time. There are lots of websites on the internet about research on cells. People have become increasingly aware of the many advances in all aspects of science research. There is a variety of information about new scientific discoveries involving cells, such as how they work in the human and cell body. Other kinds of cells are also getting involved in the research of human cells. There are lots of things about the research of cells that people don’t know, but we will tell you.

Task

Our job is to learn about current research involving different types of cells.

We answered some questions about the current research of cells.

1. What do researchers think is one cause of memory impairment related to growing older? What does new research show that may be able to help reverse this process?  One cause of memory impairment is Alzheimer's disease. New research says that new oral drugs can slow down the progression of Alzheimer's disease.

2. How may might fat cells be able to help people with spinal cord injuries?  Fat cells can replace cells in therapy to form a new spinal cord to help people recover with spinal cord injuries.

3. How are frog eggs being used in research involving human cells? Frog eggs are being used in research involving human cells by people using substances to reprogram the frog eggs into adult cells. Researchers prepared protein extracts from frog eggs; these extracts contain the same proteins that are found in human cells.

4. What are Schwann cells? How are they affected in multiple sclerosis patients? Schwann cells are any of the cells in the peripheral nervous system that produce the myelin sheath around neuronal axons. Schwann cells protect the degeneration of nerves by blocking thrombin, a blood-clotting protein that can also damage nerves.

5. What role do cells play in preventing the stomach to digest itself? The epithial cells play the role of producing mucus to form a barrier between the lining of the stomach and contents so the stomach doesn't digest itself.

A lot of new research on cells has been discovered by many scientists/researchers. Researchers say that one cause of memory impairment is Alzheimer's disease, saying that new oral drugs can slow down the progression of Alzheimer's disease. Fat cells are able to help people recover from spinal cord injuries by just replacing cells in therapy so it can form a new spinal cord. Frog eggs are being involved in the research of human cells because some people are using substances just to reprogram frog eggs into adult cells, researchers also prepared protein extracts from frog eggs, turns out that those extracts contained the same proteins that are found in human cells. Schwann cells are cells in the peripheral nervous system that produce myelin sheath around neuronal axons. People/researchers state that Schwann cells can protect the degeneration of nerves by blocking thrombin. The epithial cells produce mucus so they can form a barrier between the lining of the stomach and contents just so the stomach does not digest itself. This is what scientists have learned about cells.
