Your task is to research different renewable energy sources, such as solar, wind, hydroelectric, and biomass energy. You will create a presentation that includes:

• An explanation of each energy source
• How each source is harnessed and used
• The benefits and challenges of each energy source
• A comparison of renewable energy sources with non-renewable ones
• Your recommendation for the best renewable energy source for our community

Introduction to Renewable Energy: Read an overview article on renewable energy to get a basic understanding.

Research Individual Energy Sources: aDivide into groups, each group researching one type of renewable energy (solar, wind, hydroelectric, biomass).

Use the provided resources to gather information.

Compile Information:

• Summarize your findings in a group document.
• Create visual aids (charts, diagrams, etc.) to illustrate key points.

Create a Presentation:

Each group will create a slide presentation covering their assigned energy source.

• Include an introduction, detailed explanations, visuals, and a conclusion. 

Present and Discuss:

• Present your findings to the class.
• Engage in a class discussion to compare and contrast the different energy sources.

Conclusions:

• Reflect on what you learned and write a short essay on which renewable energy source you believe is the best option for our community and why.

Your work will be evaluated based on the following rubric:

• Content Accuracy (30 points): Accurate and thorough information about each energy source.
• Visual Aids (20 points): Effective and relevant use of visuals.
• Presentation Skills (20 points): Clear, engaging, and well-organized presentation.
• Group Collaboration (20 points): Evidence of effective teamwork and collaboration.
• Reflection Essay (10 points): Insightful and well-argued reflection essay.
