A recipe for everyone

Introduction

Do you have a recipe that you love? A tasty chicken sandwich, a gorgeous medium rare steak, enchiladas... Everything goes, because today is your lucky day: we're writing a recipe for the newspaper!

Task

You have to research a recipe that you like and write down the ingredients of the dish in English, and bring it in paper to our next class.

Process

You have to take the role of a journalist, and search for the ingredients of your favorite recipe. It can be taken from anywhere: a cookbook, an online website, a cooking TV show... You can even try to ask an adult, yourself, in English of course!

Evaluation

The evaluation is simple: In order to get good grades in this mini project, they need to write the ingredients correctly in English, and of course, for the ingredients to be as accurate as possible. The portions to evaluate will be spelling and actual effort.

Conclusion

In this task, they will not only learn some more vegetables and/or fruits names, but also other food related vocabulary such as spices, nuts, etc. It also encourages them to apply foreign languages in their own time, and makes them less wary of new concepts.
