Task

Learning Goal: To learn about a disease and discover how our knowledge gained on cells in the 21st century has implications on individuals and society. To communicate knowledge in a 60-90 second podcast.

Success Criteria:

  •  Gathers information in point form.  All information should be in your own words.
  • Shares general information on the disease (symptoms, causes)
  • Discusses how the disease affects the cells, tissues and/or organs
  • Explains how medical research has been responsible for improvements in treatments
  • Uses a clear, expressive voice in podcast
  • Follows logical sequence in sharing information
  • Speaks at a pace for listeners to understand
  • Maintains the interest of the audience
  • Includes appropriate sounds effects
  • Podcast contains an intro., hook, transition words, conclusion
