Introduction

                                                                                       by Alejandra Flores García

When reading, sometimes we find it difficult to organize the information for further reports or presentations.

The best way to understand and remember these events is to organize your notes into a timeline.  A timeline is a useful way to organize notes about when events happenedWe can develop strategies so you can identify relevant information and create a timeline.

You can learn an easy way to do it here! The aim of this WebQuest is that at the end you are able to read a text and make a timeline, put it on a poster, and present it to the class.

Task

First, the teacher will give a series of tips to identify events in a text, so students can select the relevant extracts and put them in chronological order. Then, they will practice on their own.

Second, students will read a text and elaborate a timeline to present to the class.

Process

                                                                                   BEFORE

Before you start discovering how to create a timeline, read this short text so you can know what exactly a timeline is.

Teachers,

we all know how hard is for some of us to introduce reading skills into our classes. There is so much information and so little time to work with, but this WebQuest is an opportunity for us to have a tool to work on it.

Feel free to modify it and use it as you please.
