The rate of photosynthesis

Introduction

Good morning  learners. On today's lesson we will be looking at factors affecting the rate of photosynthesis. You have done photosynthesis on previous grades , I am sure that this section of photosynthesis will not be a problem to you and you can relate to it.

Please listen to the  introduction and and supporting video.  You may write a few notes about what you heard  in your free time. It will help you to have a broader knowledge on Photosynthesis

Task

Date : 14 August 2021

Topic : Factors affecting the rate of photosynthesis

Answer the following questions about factors affecting the rate of photosynthesis. Use the above video to assist you.

Question 1

1.1 What does the term," Limiting factor" mean in photosynthesis?  (2)

1.2 Give 3 factors affecting the rate of photosynthesis     (3)

1.3 Explain how each of the factors mentioned in 1.1 affect the rate of photosynthesis.   (6)

1.4 What are  greenhouses? which role do they  play in increasing the rate of photosynthesis (3)

Question 2

Look at the graph below and answer the questions that follow

Factors Affecting The Rate Of Photosynthesis - Photosynthesis

2.1 Which factor is being measured on the above graph?   (1)

2.2 Comment on the rate of photosynthesis on point A and B (2)

2.3 Suggest a reason for a constant rete on point C. (2)

2.4 Why do you thing the rate of photosynthesis is increasing instead of decreasing (3)

Process

Please go   the following videos and links as they will help you  enhance your knowledge on the rate of photosynthesis so that you will answer the questions
