Your Mission:
Your mission as rainforest explorers is to navigate the jungles of the internet to discover interesting facts about rainforests around the world! You will use these facts to complete goals with your group members. Get ready for a fact-filled jungle adventure!
Task
Standard: 5.L.4B.1 Analyze and interpret data to explain how organisms obtain their energy and classify an organism as producers, consumers (including herbivore, carnivore, and omnivore), or decomposer (such as fungi and bacteria).
Your assignment will be to investigate the organisms of the rainforest. Your job is to take a closer look at each living creature and determine if it is a producer, consumer, or a decomposer. If your creature is a consumer, be sure to determine what kind of consumer it is (herbivore, carnivore, or omnivore). When you have done your research, you will create a poster with your group’s findings. Be sure to include an image of your animal along with what type of organism it is.
