During this WebQuest you will discover what makes a good public speaker.

Task

Open up a fresh page in your English book.

 

Title: Public Speaking Webquest.

 

Make sure you include: today's date and a contents page entry.

Process

Today you will be researching Public Speaking.

 

  1. Rule two lines down your page so you have three equal columns to make a KWL chart like this picture. (Remember your heading is Public Speaking WebQuest, not KWL)

  2. Put the subheadings at the top of each column (What i Know, What I Want to Know, What I Learned)
  3. In the "What I Know" column write down everything you know about public speaking. This Could be:
    1. What you think good public speaking looks and sounds like.
    2. What is difficult or easy about public speaking.
    3. Any experience you have with public speaking.
  4. In the "What I Want to Know" column list anything you are unsure about or need to learn more about. This could be:
    1. Anything that you are frightened or unsure of.
    2. Skills you think you need to work on.
  5. Open a web browser and research public speaking, while you are doing this list anything new in the "What I Learned" column. Try to find information that will help you be a successful public speaker.
  6. Highlight or underline the top 3-5 tips for public speaking.
