Low birth rate in Korea have various negative effects on the industry and can weaken the competitiveness of the country as a whole. A society with a low birth rate has a problem that the national labor force is insufficient due to the continuous population decline.

1. Students appreciate causes of low birth late and results(effects) of low birth
2. Students should Identify what the government is currently proposing as a solution(policy)to the low birth rate problem.
3. Student should suggest own solution of the low birth rate problem based on the fundamental cause
4. Finally students can make card news for informing the problem to community. so they can let a number of people know this problem.

-Understanding(basic)
Teacher let students understand the problem of low birth late and students should know many social issues on the problem through watching video.
-Analyzing
Understand the essence of the low birth rate problem and investigate and identify what efforts the government is trying to solve the problem.
-Thinking deeply
Students should investigate many solutions from other countries and think about what innovative solutions will be. Students presents what efforts will be needed to fundamentally solve the problem and how to prepare for the future situation(society)
-Activity
Teacher let students organize their thoughts based on the problem of low birth rate and let them make card news that propose the overall factors of problem including cause, effects, solution and so on.
Evaluation
1. After the lesson, students should submit reflection journal about what they learned and teacher can evaluate the contents of assignments

Conclusion
The purpose of this lesson is to develop an insight for the world with interest in social issues in order to prevent students from immersing only on academic classes. Teachers remind students that it is important to be interested in social issues as members of society, and then students can become democratic members. Students can also become interested in other social issues by approaching the low birth rate that can be threatening to them and has a close relationship with them in future.
