The United States' prison system has been highly criticized lately. Many people feel that changes need to be made, especially considering the high rate of incarceration in the United States. In order to write to your Congressman/Congresswoman about what changes you would like to see done, you need to know what options are available to you. First we are going to look at some common issues found in US prisons. Then you will look at prisons in other countries, to see if there are any changes you will like to make. Finally, you will write a letter to a member of Congress, addressing your concerns, and explaining the changes you would like to see made.
