Introduction
This lesson is centered around the United States frist President George Washington.

Task
This lesson is centered on George Washington. Students will learn about history of Washington. Starting from his birth all the way to his time as a war hero, finally leading to his time as president. This lesson will key on key dates an vocabulary dealing with our nations first president.
Students should be able to define the following listed below:
History- the branch of knowledge dealing with past events.
General- the chief official of a religious order.
War- a conflict carried on by force of arms, as between nations or between parties within a nation; warfare,as by land, sea, or air
President- the highest executive officer of a modern republic, as the Chief Executive ofthe United States.
Academic Expectations- Students should be able to write about key parts about George Washingtons life. Also be able to compare and contrast things from the past with current events.
Process
1. Begining of class I will introduce George Washington as our topic of discussion.
2. I will ask students tell me what they know about George Washington. I will ask them if they knew anything besides the normal "he is on the dollar bill, and on the quater"
3. We will go over the key vocabulary words.
4. I will show the class a few videos about Washington

5. After watching the clips the students' will then write a one page paper over this question. "If it wasn't for George Washington and was alive durring our time now, what would he fight for today?" The students' will be graded on their subject knowledge of George Washington, grammer, and structure of their pharagraphs and sentences. All four vocabulary words musy be used in paper.
