Plant and Animal Habitats

Introduction

Today, we are going to learn about different habitats as well as the plants and animals that live there. I want you to pay close attention to the different habitats as well as the diversity of living things they have. As you search through the website and watch the video, complete the graphic organizer.

Task

You will observe the environment of plants and animals by researching and watching a video that will help you learn about their habitats. Fill in the graphic organizer as you watch the video and search through the website. After you finish the graphic organizer, answer the questions that follow to show what you have learned. Once you have finished the organizer and questions, you will choose one of the habitats we learned about and create a picture using the plants and animals found that can be found there.

Process

What is a habitat?

A habitat is the natural home or environment of a plant, an animal, or other organism.

Take a look at this video about different habitats. Fill in the graphic organizer as you watch and listen.

Evaluation

Chose a habitat that interested you the most from the webquest and create a picture of it.

Make sure that the picture includes both plants and animals that may be found in the habitat that you chose. For example, if you choose the grassland habitat, your picture may include grass and lions or antelope.
