Place Value

Introduction

In this webquest you will learn about Place Value. Place Value is the numerical value that a digit has by vertue of its position in a number.

You will be able to:

1. state what place value is after viewing a video.

2. identify the place value of digits in given numbers after class activities.

3. differentiate digits that are the same based on their place value .

4.arrange given digits to form numbers based on instructions given on podcast.

After viewing the video you will :

say what is Place Value

identify some of the places that digits can occupy in a number

Step 2. You will observe numbers and state place value of digit or digits specified by teacher.

Step 3.You will look at numbers with digits that have the same name but different place value.

Step 4. You will listen to a pod cast and arrange digits to form numbers based on the place value given.

From this webquest you would have learnt about three different Place Values.
