Introduction

You are Junior Urban Planners, investigating which Queensland location would be best for a family to live in. You will choose from one (1) of the following options:

  • Brisbane
  • Logan
  • Gold Coast
  • Toowoomba

You will then investigate various factors and report on your findings.

 

Task

To complete your WebQuest, you must choose one location - Logan, Toowoomba, Brisbane, or Gold Coast - and research it to rate its liveability according to the following factors:

  • Public Transport
  • Schools
  • Parks/Recreation Facilities
  • Safety
  • Shops and Services
  • Environment
  • Cost of Living

You will enter your findings in a 2 column table headed "Factors" (column 1) and "Findings" (column 2)

 

Some guiding questions: 

  1. What facilities are nearby?
  2. Is transport easy to access?
  3. Are there green spaces?
  4. Would families enjoy living there?
  5. What challenges might exist?
