Introduction
Welcome to the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). You are a consultant for NASA, and it is your job to provide scientists at JPL with important information about our moon! I know you can do it... let's get started. :)

Task
Your task is to conduct internet research to find out important information about Earth's moon so that NASA scientist can safely land a rover.

Process
First go to the following website, and read the article carefully.
https://www.natgeokids.com/au/discover/science/space/the-phases-of-the-moon/
Use the information and pictures you find to answer the following questions on a separate sheet of paper:
1) What is moonlight?
2) Why does the moon look different on different days of the month?
3) What is the Earth's only natural satellite? What are some unnatural satellites that orbit Earth?
4) How long does it take for the moon to complete a full orbit around Earth?
5) What is a lunar month?
6) What is a waxing moon?
7) What is a waning moon?
8) Draw and Label all 8 phases of the moon. Put the sun on the right of the page, and make sure to put the Earth in the middle. (Remember: The moon orbits earth in a circular shape). You may use colored pencils for this portion.
