Today we (the class) will learn cause and effect and colors with the help of our friend Pete the Cat!
Goal: When given the cause, I can name the effect (color of Pete's shoes).
Task
Students will identify what color Pete the Cat's shoes will turn after he steps in various objects.
Process
1) As a Class Read or Watch Pete the Cat I Love My White Shoes.
Now it's your turn! Answer the questions below!
1) Oh NO! Pete stepped in a large pile of BANANAS! What color did it turn his shoes?

Yellow!
After student/s answer correctly, sing "I love my yellow shoes" X4
2) Oh NO! Pete stepped in a large pile of JELLY! What color did it turn his shoes?


Purple!
After student/s answer correctly, sing "I love my purple shoes" X4
3) 3) Oh NO! Pete stepped in a large pile of PUMPKINS! What color did it turn his shoes?


Orange
After student/s answer correctly, sing "I love my orange shoes" X4
4) Oh NO! Pete stepped in a large pile of GRASS! What color did it turn his shoes?

Green!
After student/s answer correctly, sing "I love my green shoes" X4
Evaluation
Mastered- Student correctly identified 4/4 colors.
Close- Student correctly identified 3/4 or 2/4 colors.
Far- Student correctly identified 1/4 or 0/4 colors.
