People in History- Neil Armstrong

Introduction

This lesson is about people in history.

It designed for 10th grade, 15 years old and pre-intermediate level high school students.

 

Students will read a brief biography of Neil Armstrong and watch a video about landing on moon experience with his colleagues Michael Collins and  Buzz Aldrin.

Tasks focus on reading comprehension, listening skill, grammar practice (past simple- irregular verbs) and speaking.

Task

You will use the links to research and do the tasks.

Read the text about historic event- Moon Landing and try to understand the process. 

Watch the video to review simple past tense and try to focus on irregular words.

Watch the video 'Who was Neil Armstrong?' and answer the questions.

Finally, prepare a poster about moon landing. Try to describe the process by using past simple tense. Be creative. You can draw yourself as an astronaut! You need to present it to your classmates and they will grade your poster.

You have 40 minutes to complete all.
