PE Webquest

Introduction

Greetings Athletes!

Your team is down late in the game and they need someone to step up and lead them to victory!  This series will lead you through a series of tasks that you need to complete in order to help your team win.  Do you have what it takes to win the game for your team?

Task

Your task will be to complete small challenges and earn points to help your team mount a comeback and win!  All eyes are now on you All-Star.  Do your best and help your team to victory!

Process

To complete your challenge you will need to do the following.

  • Complete a circuit of ten of each of these exercises: pushups, situps and squats (if unable to do squats, tricep dips can be a substitute.  Same applies for lunges in place of pushups and mason jar twists for situps.  Mason twists are when you sit with feet elevated and rotate core side to side.)
  • Next you have to list five of your favorite athletes.
  • after this you must find your favorite song and dance to it for 45 seconds
  • Your final task is to create a new sport combining at least two already existing sports

If you can complete all these steps your team makes the comeback of the year!

Evaluation

points awarded for each task are as follows:

  1. a successful completion of the circuit will earn you ten points.  An attempt at each exercise earns you seven.
  2. Two points will be awarded for each athlete you can list and a bonus point will be added if you can name one from five different sports
  3. five points for coming up with a creative dance number
  4. 25 points will be given for coming up with a new sport or game. five bonus points are given if your sport combine four or more sports.

This gives you a grand total of 50 points plus an opportunity of six bonus points.  You need at least 42 points to win the game.  

Conclusion

Congrats Champ!  you have successfully completed your task and won the game for your team.  You are truly the best and will forever be remembered for your late game heroics!
