Our Blue Planet

Introduction

Hello Earthling Scientists!

My name is Greenie. I come from the planet Zlurp.  My scientist friends and I see that you have so much wonderful clear, liquid stuff on your planet. On our planet, we have some of that clear, liquid stuff but it is very rare so we don't know much about it. It is interesting that you have a lot of it on your planet and it makes your planet look blue. Can you and your scientist friends tell me more about it? Why is earth called "the blue planet?"

Task

You are a top scientist on the planet Earth. Your job is to help Greenie find out more about the water on planet Earth.

1) With your partner, you will learn more about water sources so you can help Greenie.

2) You will research a source of water assigned by the head scientist (your teacher). While you are researching, be sure to fill out the graphic organizer.

3) After you have completed these and other tasks, you and your partner will use the information in your graphic organizer to create a Puppet Pals video to show Greenie everything you have learned about our blue planet.
