Introduction

On the course Introduction to Children's Literature, students will develop the ability to understand literature as well as improve their oral and written expression. During this assignment, literary analysis and each of its components will begin through reading short children´s stories.

Justification: Some benefits of read and analize our readings are reading expands background knowledge, it builds a robust vocabulary, some people learn best by reading, it improves cognition and reading improves focus and concentration.

Task

INSTRUCTIONS: To comprenhend literary elements in the Subject  Introduction to Children's Literature, students will develop a short literary analysis and each of its components will be found through reading Pinocchio Short Story.

Students will develop the fallowing activities (step and extra information / links will be giving on the process section)

1- First, read the Pinocchio Short Story. 

2- Second, analize the reading taking into account the literary elements mention in the introduction section. 

3- Third, If there are elements you don´t find and you need a deeper understanding of this short story, you can also see the video

Process

Steps the students will fallow on this task: To complete this assignment successfully, is necessary to fallow the following steps; 

1- First, read the Pinocchio Short Story from the webside https://bedtimeshortstories.com/pinocchio-short-story

2- Second, analize the reading taking into account the fallowing literary elements: 

Theme, plot, exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, cause and effect, conflict and resolution, characters, chronological order, setting, forests shadowing. 

On this step, make sure to take notes of your findings while you are reading. 

3- Third, If there are elements you don´t find and you need a deeper understanding of this short story, you can also see the video;

As was set from the very beginning , the main aim of  Introduction to Children's Literature is that students will be able to develop the ability to understand literature as well as improve their oral and written expression. It is possible when the resources are given to apply literary analysis of each one of its components.
