Introduction
“What was it like to be a Jewish youth in Europe during World War II?
It is the Summer of 1940, you are hanging out with your friends getting ready to enjoy a lazy summer of fishing, swmming and playing. You wake up one morning to find German soldiers in your village. They are making unusual rules and your soon realize that you and your family are in grave danger. You try to follow the rules to avoid punishement by the German soldiers, but you soon realize that it is almost certain you will be removed from your village and possibly killed.

Brainstorm time!
What new things did you learn? Was there something that stood out to you that would really affect your life today? Put your writing hats on and get ready to write. You may choose to compose a journal entry, narrative, or news paper article pulling together the information we have learned about what it might have been like to be a Jewish youth during WWII in Europe. It will be one page in length, typed on your computer in Word, Times New Roman, 12 point font, with one inch margins all the way around the page. Please remember to include your Name, Period, Date and teacher name in the upper right hand cornor. Give your response a creative title and have some fun!
Evaluation
Here is the rubric I will use to grade your project. Yes, I am looking for some pesky language arts requirements, but above all, HAVE FUN! I will be available to help you revise your response when you have completed your narrative, journal or news article.
