North America Native Americans

Introduction

Long ago, North America was very different from the way it is today. The first people arrived in North America from Asia by crossing a land bridge that temporarily connected the continents. Since these were the first people to live in North America, they are known as Native Americans. After the Native Americans have lived in the North American continent for a few thousand year, they were living all over the continent. The continent was split up into five cultural regions. A cultural region is an area in which people share some ways of life. Each region had different natural resources, climate, shelter, and transportation. Where they lived affected all of this.

This Webquest will focus on the five cultural regions: Northwest, Southwest, Great Plains, Southeast, and Northeast.
