Introduction
- You are now going to travel back in time, back to a time when things were much different.
- Cities and towns did not always look the way they that they do now.
- People did not always do the same activities as they do now.
- Many of the achievements and progress that we have in our society today is due to the people that lived hundreds or even thousands of years ago.
- Now it is time for you to learn about them.
Task
Your task is to be an internet Archeologist that will study an ancient civilization.
Research
To start you will choose an ancient civilization from the list below. Once you have decided on the topic that you will be researching your will begin your notes.
The end product will be presented to that class by yourself, where you will be the expert archeologist for your specific civilization.
Topics you need to include in your research are:
- Name of civilization.
- Time period when the civilization was prevalent.
- What part of the world did they live in?
- What was their system of government?
- What was their everyday life?
- What are some of their major achievements and contributions to mankind?
- What are some interesting facts?
Construction!
You will choose an artifact that you feel was important to that civilization.
Research the artifact and then create a model of it to present to the class.
Presentation
You are the presenting archeologist.
You will present your findings about the civilization that you chose along with your artifact.
