Introduction
Throughout history women have had fewer legal rights and career opportunities than men. Wifehood and motherhood were regarded as women's most significant professions. However, in the 20th century women in most nations won the right to vote and increased their educational and job opportunities. Since then women have been fighting for, and to a large extent they have accomplished, a reevaluation of traditional views of their role in society. Nonetheless there is still a long way to go.
Task
The aim of this project to do some research on how women’s role in society has changed along different decades, to raise awareness of how relevant those changes have been and to conclude whether it is necessary for women to keep on fighting for equality.
To this end we will be researching on these topics:

Famous women in history.

What other rights, besides winning the right to vote in 1920, have women earned over time?

How and why have women's fashions changed over time?
-
How have the roles of women in work and home changed over time?
-
How has the representation of women changed in different media types (i.e. movies, magazines, television shows, software?)
Be prepared to defend in which ways are women still discriminated, if any.
By the end of the project we will
-
display our findings with an e-tool (PPT, Prezi, Powtoon, Presentme, Voxopop,etc.) presentation to the whole class.

have a class debate on women’s fight for equality.
- write a final article on the topic to publish in the international women’s day page.

Once you have done enough research, use the info you have collected to prepare a presentation using one of these tools:
Show the presentation to the whole class. This material will be the springboard for a debate/ discussion on the topic : “WOMEN THEN AND TODAY”
After carrying out the debate you will write an article on the topic.
