Introduction
Organisms need energy to survive. Some organisms are capable of absorbing energy from sunlight and using it to produce sugar and other organic compounds such as lipids and proteins. The sugars are then used to provide energy for the organism. This process, called photosynthesis, is used by plants and some protists, bacteria and blue-green algae.
Task
You will explore several websites that provide information on photosynthesis. While exploring these websites, both of you will take turns taking notes on important information you find on each website. For example, one of you might take notes on a piece of paper for the first website and then the other of you might take notes on a different piece of paper for the second website (alternating note taking like this as you go through all the websites).
