Ecosystems

Introduction

Welcome! We are going to travel around the world and learn about the different ecosystems in the world.

Task

Your task:

You will be given an ecosystem to learn all about. You will become the expert in your ecosystem. One the next page you will find websites about your topic. Search these websites and learn all you can about your chosen ecosystem. Search at least 3 websites. While you are reading fill out your graphic organizer.

Once you have all the information that you need, you will begin to create your travel suitcase. This suitcase gives information on your ecosystem. You will also draw a scene that you would find in your ecosystem. Once the suitcases are finished, we will divide into groups and you will become the teacher of your ecosystem.

Evaluation
4 Points 3 Points 2 Points 1 Point 0 Points
Graphic Organizer The points on the graphic organizer are discussed. It is filled with accurate information. The information provided is detailed. Facts were taken from the websites provided on this Webquest. The information would provide adequate information to teach a small group. Answers are complete thoughts. Most of the points are discussed on the graphic organizer. The details are still very detailed. It is enough detail to teach a small group.  Half of the points on the graphic organizer are discussed. The details are brief explanations. Minor facts could be provided in a small group discussion.  Less than half of the graphic organizer is finished. The information provided is very brief. The information could not be used to teach a small group about the ecosystem. The organizer is not filled out or has one-two word answers. The information provided would does not show that the student has learned anything about the biome.
Webquest Student uses 3 or more websites from the webquest to get their information. N/A Student uses only 2 websites from the webquest to get their information. Student uses only 1 source from the webquest to get their information. Student does not use websites to get information.
