AMENDMENT XV
Passed by Congress February 26, 1869. Ratified February 3, 1870.
Section 1.
The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude--
Section 2.
The Congress shall have the power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
- Amendment XV is the right to the U.S citizens to vote and shall not be denied or judged by their race, skin color, and medical conditions. Which have to not be done in the United States or any other state. The congress has the right/power to enforce this by appropriate legislation. As the XIV amendment state that it prohibits the states to denying people right to vote based on the skin color. Also, stating that all citizens should have rights to vote whether there black, white nor their conditions or skin tone. Congress shall provide this article by the proper legislation.
