AMENDMENT XV
Passed by Congress February 26, 1869. Ratified February 3, 1870.
Section 1.
The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude--
Section 2.
The Congress shall have the power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
Summary
Amendment 15 protects the rights of Americans to vote in elections to choose their leader. They cannot be denied based on race, color, or being a former slave. Whether you are African-American or Latino, black or white, or used to be a slave, you are still allowed to vote to choose your ruler/leader. Also, the Congress will be able to force this law and make sure it goes into action.

The Fifteenth Amendment removes discrimination so that all people and races, even African-Americans and Hispanics, so that they cannot be stopped when they are trying to vote to choose their new president.
All African-Americans and women were allowed to vote in elections. But the Fifteen Amendment didn’t take place until a century until after a century it was created. Later on, the majority of African-Americans in the South were allowed to vo
Allows any citizen the right to vote and is not based on race and previous condition. All men and women can not be denied the right to vote.
People are allowed to vote to choose their new leader and the Congress have the power to enforce the law.
A person’s race, color, or background does not matter when they are going to vote and choose their president or mayor.
Suffrage
All people of different races shall be allowed to vote. They cannot be denied based on race or color.
Black people and African-Americans have the power to vote in political elections and cannot be denied because of the heritage.
It helps people of all race, color, and heritage to access voting rights and suffrage and lets them elect their new leader.
Prohibits the denial of suffrage because of the person’s race or color.
Made society different by forcing each government to allow every type of person to vote for their president.
After the civil war, the Congress tried many ways to give black people suffrage and to allow them to vote, which created the Fifteen Amendment.
Denied Rights
Allows all women the right to vote and participate in the elections to choose their new president.
There was a big problem before Amendment 15 was passed because African-Americans and women were not allowed to vote but now they cannot be denied the right to vote.
Allowed women to vote and could not be denied based on the race, color, or gender.
All African-Americans and women were allowed to vote to choose their next leader and they could not be denied based on their race, color, heritage, background or gender. Also, the Congress had the right to enforce this law.

What made the women suffragists angry and upset instead of happy when Amendment 15 was passed? Wasn't it helping them get the right to vote?
Answer: They didn’t just want the 15th Amendment just for men or African-Americans,they wanted it for all people including women.
Feedback: I agree with Edy because the woman wanted everyone to have freedom to vote, including them.

It was neglected because lots of people didn’t want African-American and women to have the freedom to vote because they believed that they shouldnt be part of the right to elect their new leader.
