Introduction

In my WebQuest, you will become fairtrade know it all's!! In class, you have been learning all about fairtrade. In this WebQuest, you will learn all about what fairtrade is and what it does.

You will see why fairtrade is so important to our lives and others around us.























Task

Your task,

You work as a reporter on TV news and your editor wants you to do a report on 10th May (World Fair Trade day) WFT.

You have been given a brief to cover the following information in your report.

  • What is fair trade day about?
  • What is fair trade and where did it all begin?
  • What are the principles of fair trade?
  • What orginisations are included in fair trade and what is fair trade councelling?
  • What events will take place on 2014 world fair trade day?
  • What can we do to support fair trade?

Research and compose a script for a 5 minuate news report that covers the important information above.







Process

Step 1.   Research using some of these websites. In the first one there is a video about fairtrade.

Step 2. Do some more reasearch on websites that you find on your own.

Step 3. Take notes on the information you have got trying to link it to all the questions in the previous page.

Step 4. Once you have done all this, place you notes in order of which your going to say in your script.

Step 5. Once you are happy with your order of the report, start to make a rough copy of your script. Here is a video of a fairtrade video of making bananas fair.

Step 6. Once you have shown your teacher and you have made it the best you can including all the information from your research and the questions, you can start making the final product on an A4 piece of paper. You can also include on A4 some posters to show the logo of fairtrade or one of the events that will be happeneing.

Gives a little bit more information and some examples of suppors. Gives a very detailed knowledge about supporting fair trade and gives a lot of examples of what they do to support it.
