1. I think it is really cool that our own backyard or the local park is a place for wild birds. We see birds of all sizes from the sparrow to the really colorful birds that come to visit. Birds are very important to our environment.. Birds have problems like losing their homes and not having enough food. Now it is our turn to help the birds. We need to become a Bird Conservationist and make a plan to turn a place near us into an happy home, for the birds that live here.
Task

Your final product is going to be a Sanctuary Proposal Poster. This poster can be digital or physical. Your Sanctuary Proposal Poster must have some things on it.
It needs to have a list of native bird species that are found in your area. You should have three of these birds on your list.
You also need to make a menu of foods that're good for these birds.
Then you have to draw a design sketch. This sketch should show a bird bath or a shelter, for the birds like a box.
You have to write a paragraph. In this paragraph you need to explain why your Sanctuary Proposal Poster plan will help these birds, the native bird species that you listed.
Process
3. Process
Step 1 is when we do our research. We need to use the links in the Resources section to find out about three bird species.
We have to learn about the birds.
Step 2 is when we do the analysis. For each bird species we have to find out what kind of food the bird species eats and what kind of shelter the bird species needs. We will record this information in a table for the bird species.
Step 3 is when we do the design for our bird sanctuary. We have to draft our plan for the bird sanctuary. We will sketch where we will put the food stations and the water stations for the bird species so that the bird species will be safe from the predators.
Step 4 is when we put everything together. We will create our proposal poster for the bird sanctuary and we will include our research about the bird species and our design, for the bird sanctuary.
