In this WebQuest, you will act as a student workshop assistant tasked with designing a simple Workshop Safety and Tool Handling Guide that can be used by TLE students during laboratory and practical activities.

Task

You are assigned as a student workshop assistant in an Industrial Arts laboratory. Your task is to create a Basic Workshop Safety and Tool Handling Guide that can help learners perform activities safely and correctly.

Your final output should include:

-A labeled drawing of a basic workshop area showing important stations and tools

-A checklist for workshop safety and cleanliness

-A list of tools and materials needed

-A short explanation of why workshop safety and proper tool handling are important

Research the common workshop areas, tools, and practices that should be checked before starting any activity:

Practicality (5 points) – The guide is highly useful and applicable to real workshop situations for 5 points. An applicable output  receives 4 points, somewhat useful receives 3 points, and not  practical receives 2 points. 

Safety Awareness (5 points) – The output demonstrates excellent understanding and application of safety practices for 5 points. Good awareness receives 4 points, fair awareness receives 3 points, and poor safety understanding receives 2 points.

Presentation (5 points) – The final output is organized, neat, and easy to understand for 5 points. A clear presentation receives 4 points, acceptable presentation receives 3 points, and incomplete work receives 2 points.
