Process

Step 1: Introductory Activity

Students will begin by clicking the link below to open the interactive PowerPoint presentation. After opening it, they will click “Slideshow” to begin. Students will carefully go through the content to learn about the meaning of digestion, the main organs of the digestive system, and their functions. The presentation also includes an interactive quiz to test understanding.

Step 2: Exploration Activity

Students will watch a digital story about the journey of food through the human digestive system. While watching, they should focus on the order in which food travels through the body and how each organ contributes to the process of digestion.
