Are you ready for today's activity?

Today, we will go on a special journey to help a tiny butterfly grow. But… the butterfly is confused and needs your help to grow in the right order!

Task

By the end of this activity, learners will:

  • Present the lifecycle of butterfly in their own way
Process

Step 1: Watch and Explore

Learners will listen to the story " The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and reflect on it through answering guiding questions.

Step 2: Act It Out

Students become the butterfly:

Egg → curl small

Caterpillar → crawl

Chrysalis → freeze

Butterfly → flap arms

 

Step 3: Put in Order

Learners will number the steps of life cycle on MindMeister mind map live on screen, other unrelated items will be included to test understanding.

Step 4:  Butterfly Cycle Creation

Learners in groups will create the cycle of butterfly life in a craft using different shapes of pasta, plate and crayons

 

Evaluation

Learners will use the NotebookLM flashcards guided by the teachers to answer questions and evaluate their understanding.
