Oh Moon! Why Are You Always Changing?

Introduction


Hello second grade students!  How are you today!  Guess what?  I think it is a great day for you to learn about the moon.  Have you ever wondered why the moon keeps changing?  One night you may look up in the night sky and the moon is a new moon, a first quarter moon, a full moon, a last quarter moon, or a crescent moon.   

If you want to know about the phases of the moon, this Webquest was designed especially for you.

Come on boys and girls and let's travel through the phases of the moon. 

Task


 First, find a friend you have not worked with before.  Then, look at the posters on the wall about the different phases of the moon.  Walk around the classroom and talk with your partner about the different phases of the moon that you have seen in the night sky.  Put a sticky note with your name and your partner's name on the phase of the moon that you have seen in the night sky.Now, open your math problem solving journal to the science section and write about the light
