Through 19th century women writers, we are able to see the roles of women and how it has progressed through the century. Through web analysis and the creation of a multi-page document, you will examine certain themes, such as marriage and power, and explain how those themes have progressed for women over the century.
After studying feminism and the advances of women through time, this webquest will allow you to analyze 19th century writing and women's advancement through novelty.
Task
For this assignment, you will analyze themes of 19th century writing. You are required to search the web and discern the roles of women and how they have progressed throughout the century, tying it back to the themes found in the writers that we have discussed. Your task is then to create a multi-page document using desktop publishing in order to display what you have found in your research.
Process
First, you will choose three common themes of 19th century writing. Using Google, Yahoo, or Ask, you will analyze these themes and how they are displayed through writing. Then, you will search the web for the roles of women and their advances at this time.
