In this WebQuest, you will analyze a short story and examine its theme, conflict, and characters to better understand its meaning.
Task
Your task is to read a short story and create a literary analysis essay or presentation that includes:
- A brief summary of the story
- Identification of the main characters
- Explanation of the conflict (man vs. man, self, society, nature, etc.)
- Analysis of the theme
- Personal insight or connection to real-life situations
Process
Follow these steps:
- Choose one short story from the given resources.
- Read the story carefully (you may read it twice for better understanding).
- Write a short summary (1 paragraph only).
- Identify the main characters and describe their roles.
- Analyze the type of conflict and explain it clearly.
- Determine the theme of the story and support it with examples.
- Write a 2–3 paragraph analysis essay OR create a presentation.
- Review your work for grammar and clarity.
- Be ready to present or submit your output.
