Task

Your objective is to create a Group Narrated PowerPoint that demonstrates a modern-day take of a scene from Romeo and Juliet. Your presentation must explain, in detail, the creative choices you all made based on the ways Shakespeare originated his themes throughout his classical text.

Process

Step 1: Designate roles and responsibilities.

  • The Biographer: Conducts research on the feud between the Capulets and Montagues.
  • The Producer: Chooses a modern-day scene for recording your scene.
  • The Translator: Deciphers the old dialect and metaphors to a current day understanding.
  • The Writer: Depicts the final monologue in modern-day text.

Step 2: Research

Use the following sources to conduct your investigation.

Step 3: Create

Begin creating your project using cited text from the play itself while maintaining the key objectives in mind. Make sure to include the recording of the explanation behind your decisions.

Evaluation

The rubric will determine if you successfully incorporate:

  • Citations: Text proof you provided is accurately depicted from the original text.
  • Collaboration: All participants applied equal efforts as per the designated roles.
  • Fluidity: PowerPoint easy to navigate and clear to the reader.
Conclusion

Well done with your research and display of understanding of the infamous play Romeo and Juliet!

As you conclude your final assignment it is clear to see that despite era of time, love and rivalry could appear the same.
